The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) is a research institution under the Biotechnology and Innovation Research Council (BRIC-CDFD) funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. BRIC-CDFD provides services in the areas of DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics and performs cutting edge research in several frontier areas of modern biology, Research Based Skill Development Programme invites applications from interested individuals to undertake. Candidates will work in a laboratory for a minimum period of 4 months and a maximum period of 6 months based on their research interest.
Eligibility:

Candidates who have completed M.Sc. / M.Pharm / M.Tech or B.Pharm / B.Tech / Integrated M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences within the last 2 years and interested to acquire skills through research-based activity in the area of Life Sciences are eligible to apply for this program.

The applicants should have first class throughout their Academic Career, i.e. 10th, Intermediate or 12th, Graduation and Post Graduation
Application Procedure:
An online application, including areas of interest and Statement of Purpose (200 words/1500 characters) is to be filled and submitted
Program Fee Details: ₹ 30,000/-
*The Fee includes GST as per GOI norms. Fee once paid will not be refunded.
Candidates have to submit a proof of having a Health & Accidental Insurance Mediclaim policy of a minimum of 1 Lakh each in their name at the time of joining.
In cases where the candidate joins the program and wants to discontinue without completion of the program (minimum residency period of 4 months), no project completion certificate will be provided.

Accommodation:
CDFD will make attempts to provide, at no charge, hostel accommodation during the period of fellowship on first cum first serve basis subject to availability. However, you will have to pay for your food and other expenses. Local candidates will not be provided any accommodation.
Caste certificate in case of SC/ST, Disability Certificate in case of Physically Challenged candidate, or EWS Certificate if applicable, issued by the Competent Authority, should be enclosed with the application.

The names of selected candidates will be displayed on our website in November’ 2024. The training can be carried out for a maximum of six months between December 2024 to December 2025. Actual dates of training will be decided based on mutual consent between the selected candidate and the faculty
Certificates would be issued to candidates on completion of the term.
